The Chief Acting Instructor/Coach at Nollywood Playhouse, John Chuka, founded Asaba Film Academy in Nigeria, where he worked for almost a decade to help train dozens and scores of talented Nigerians and mentor them into the Nigerian film industry, which is fondly referred to as Nollywood. John Chuka worked with his trainees and mentees at Asaba Film Academy to execute film projects that reflect African everyday life experience. Some of his film projects are available on Tubi TV and YouTube:
Most of the talents featured in these film projects received their acting training at Asaba Film Academy, and many of them are now permanently employed in Nollywood. The Hollywood-trained and Nollywood-experienced filmmaker, John Chuka, is poised to replicate his Asaba Film Academy success story at Nollywood Playhouse.
